Is Maybelline's Lead the Way a Dupe for Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk?

It's one of those posts I scrolled by on Pinterest, the Maybelline Super Stay Ink Crayon in Lead the Way being a dupe for Charlotte Tilbury's infamous Pillow Talk. I happen to have both, so let's find out!

Upon looking at them in all of their beautiful glory, it looks like they could be. Then, when I swatch them, the truth comes out. On my skin tone and lips, they look pretty darn different. Lead the Way comes across as a pink and Pillow Talk is more like a pinky nude. Both stand on their own two feet as great everyday shades, but I can't say they are dupes for one another. Not even close.

If you're looking for a great lipstick to last 8+ hours, look into the Super Stay Ink line. Nothing lasts on my lips like this formula and the Super Stay Matte Ink. You can look under the Maybelline tag on this post to see swatches from a few of the shades. 

Charlotte's formula is creamy and hydrating, but it doesn't last long on the lips. Pillow Talk is a beautiful color and I get why it's a bestseller!

Final verdict: not a dupe!
