Hi there! Last week was my birthday and I splurged on a few things, because... hi, my name is Wendy and I can't say no to birthday discounts, apparently. I felt like the best way to share what I got would be to do a collective haul. Some of the things I've already shared on my Instagram. I'll share some of the beauty items in later posts, both on there and here. I purchased all of this within the last two weeks, I'd say, so most of it should still be available if you see something that interests you!
I waited for the $20 shipping, though I really wished for the very rare free shipping. Honestly, the $38-49 shipping is brutal and I refuse. I had four discount/reward codes to use and Torrid is really great about letting you stack up to ten of them. I love their underwear, so I grabbed three pairs. The black and white ones are a repurchase, because those briefs are ultimately the most comfy pair I own. The cherry halter top was too pretty to pass up. I enjoy a good night shirt and couldn't pass up the cheetah, though I do hope it will be long enough since I'm tall. If you know me, you already know my blood type. It's just nice to be able to now broadcast it on a graphic tee.😉
I had a birthday discount to use and I bought two things that I needed for the house. I have a poster that I had yet to find a frame for, so I grabbed this white magnetic poster frame. Hoping it will work well! Our dish detergent pump in the kitchen was acting up and I think this green one with the wood accent is stunning. And in real life, it really is beautiful! I'm married to a Stones fan and I don't know if they are going to end up on something of mine or his. 😄 For the chain, the little black ends come off to have just the lobster clasp, perfect for attaching to the elastics of masks. I plan on using it for either! I could not pass up this pink Peanuts shirt. I found it in the men section, but sometimes they happen to have the best stuff. I just size down!
There was a bonus points redemption for the Shoppers rewards program, so I used our Optimum points for most of this. With a certain dollar amount spent, I also got a cute sunglass case. It's nicely padded and I think I'll keep it in the car. The two Essie nail polishes are Birthday Girl and Reach New Heights and just happened to be my birthday mani. I picked the Wet n Wild foundation stick in a bronze shade to use as a cream contour. The Maybelline foundation was on for a great sale and it's new to me. The ELF contour brush is fab so far and I needed one like it in my collection. The Elie Saab collaboration with L'Oreal is gorgeous, but hard to find I'm hearing. I picked up the Ambre Choc lipgloss. For palettes, I got the Physicians Formula All Star palette and the Pixi x Louise Roe cream lip/cheek palette. More on these all at a later time!
As always, I wanted to grab the birthday freebie. This year, it's Laneige, NARS, and Moroccan Oil. However, they also added a fourth set by Rare Beauty just recently! I was leaning toward Laneige, but I haven't tried anything from Rare yet. It's a lip and blush duo in two exclusive shades. With using a code for free shipping for any purchase, I didn't have to try to get my cart at $50. These are two skincare products that have been on my list for a while. The Peter Thomas Roth peeling gel and The Ordinary squalane oil.
No way was I letting this collection get past me. I was sent the presale info and had a birthday discount. When I ordered, shipping was also being offered as free. This is the mini boxy cosmetic case with some of the gang on it. I thought about the one with just Snoopy, but this one also has Lucy...and well, those are my two favorite Peanuts characters! Love the punch of blue. Now to just wait to get this delivered so that I can put it straight to use!
I hope you liked a little insight into what I picked out to treat myself. Long live birthday discounts and freebies! For sure, using Rakuten is an added bonus. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. 💜
