I thought I would share a few things I got recently from HomeSense and Shoppers Drug Mart. The benefit of buying from Shoppers is earning and using points, especially during their bonus events. So much better than the points system at Sephora, if you ask me. I actually have three other things that weren't part of this haul to show later. I'm still looking for the L'Oreal Age Perfect Radiant Hydrating Serum Foundation that everyone is raving about lately. I saw it in stock weeks ago and I am kicking myself for not getting it then!
The two things from HomeSense were definitely "I was waiting in line" items while holding what I actually went in for. You know what I'm talking about- we've all been there! Only one item in this haul is a makeup product because it's just not what I had my mind set on. Honestly, if I'm going in anywhere right now, I go in with a list and go as quickly as possible or my husband goes for us. I can count how many times I've stepped foot into a store since March on both hands, if not one. While I love online shopping and prefer it most of the time, I do miss going to stores under normal circumstances when the mood strikes. One day, we'll have that again! Until then, please wear a mask and wash your hands if you do go out. Love thy neighbor as thyself.
Here's what I picked up within the past few weeks! Most of these should still be available or you can find similar products by other brands. To the goods!
I suffer from chronic migraines and I also often get allergic reactions that sometimes make my eyes swell, so this donut gel eye mask screamed my name. I love all things donuts! They also had ones that looked like cucumbers and watermelons. I keep mine in the refrigerator always ready to grab. This is the QUO brand at Shoppers.
Another way to know if you're new here or not is if you know about my obsession with Maybelline's SuperStay Matte Ink lipsticks (click the Maybelline tag of this post and you'll see more). They were on sale for a good price at Shoppers at under $9. I went in for Ruler, but came out with Revolutionary. This is so very pretty! Ruler is still on my list and I know I'll be getting it. Though I'm obsessed with the new Coffee range they just released. I'm on the hunt for them!
Now for the first of the two products I got at HomeSense. I don't always think of skincare and beauty for HomeSense, usually I think of Winners (similar to Ross in the States) for that. While waiting to check out with a coffee syrup and a dog food container, I made the mistake (good decision?) of looking down at the items near the cash register. I've been wanting one of these brush cleaners after seeing a more expensive one at Sephora, I found this one for $6.99. You can use one brush for one look if you so choose by just rubbing it against the sponge and it takes the pigment off between shades. Great for traveling or if you have a smaller brush collection!
My last cash register item is this facial cleansing brush! I'd been wanting one of these for a while, so I was pretty excited to find this. The brush side is very soft and works so well with foaming cleansers. I always appreciate the little silicone exfoliating pads, as well. It's nice to have a brush that works two ways. The flat bottom allows it to stand by the sink!
