I love putting together these annual type of posts. I was looking at last year's version of this post and some of these are repeat items. I don't treat this post as only highlighting products that are new to me or released over the year, but more on the products that I found myself reaching for on a constant basis. These products were favorites in every sense of the word during 2019. I'm sure I could have added a few more, but I had to draw the line somewhere!
I would love to know what made your list in 2019. What products were your true loves? I'm open for recommendations and I'm sure others are, as well!
- Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Rosewater - I've recently purchased the lavender one, as well! These are so affordable and work really well at hydration and prepping the skin.
- VDL Lumilayer Primer Fresh - This one is great for dry skin! It pairs well with the VDL Perfect-Lasting foundation (seen below). I have the original formula and it's also a good option, but I find this one just adds a little more oomph to my dry skin.
- E.L.F. Poreless Putty Primer - Pure gold, I tell you. My review is here to tell you more about it.
- VDL Perfect-Lasting Foundation - Works well with my dry skin and looks good all day. Photographs great!
- Tarte Shape Tape - I'm finally on the Shape Tape train and I don't plan on getting off any time soon. I don't use it for under the eyes, but I love it for brightening.
- MUFE Full Cover Cream - May I be blessed and never have this discontinued. It's been my HG for years now and this is my "I don't know how many" tube of it now. Covers everything and lasts through whatever my day throws at it!
- Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Treatment - Another HG. Nothing works under my eyes better than this.
- RachhLoves Pixi The Layers Palette - 2019 was the year of the highlighter for me, because the two palettes in this section are *chef kiss*. I love that this one is so easy to mix and find combos that you love. I keep changing it up!
- Tarte Paaarty Amazonian Clay Blush - I have many a blush, but none that I love as much as this one. It's just the perfect everyday color and works with every highlight that I throw at it. So natural!
- Milani Stellar Lights Palette in Rose Glow - I first heard about this one on Instagram and I'm so glad I did! The shade on the left works so well for my pale skin as a highlight and I love the other two as eyeshadow toppers.
- Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Lipstick - I have swatched Loyalist, Heroine, and Dreamer so far. This isn't about a specific shade, but the formula! I want all of them! I still have two that I picked up not long ago that need to be swatched. These last through everything. EVERYTHING.
- Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - This was an accidental find! I was placing my Amazon Prime Day order and this was on a nice discount. It's soooo good and deserves more attention!
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette - No ABH palette speaks to me like the Soft Glam. It's the perfect everyday palette and I haven't run out of looks with it yet. It doesn't top the original Urban Decay Naked palette, but it's the one that comes the closest for me.
- Essence Cosmetics Metal Shock Eyeshadow - The best liquid eyeshadows I have tried and also the most affordable. I live for these!
- Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Bourbon - Always a repurchase, because it's one of my favorite brown liners out there. I love their Stray Dog one too, but they never release it anymore because it was always released in special sets...but I digress.
