Usually having zero interest in the Jenners and Kardashians, this purchase was based solely on my addiction to liquid lipsticks and I fell hard for this shade when I first saw swatches for it. So with that said, this was my first Kylie Cosmetics purchase. I bought it at Ulta when I went home back in May and I am finally getting around to getting this review with swatches up. I didn't even know they carried the brand until I walked in and it was the first display I saw!
So this is my first Kylie purchase, but will it be my first and only? Did the brand win me over? Keep reading to find out! I'll also compare it to a few other liquid lipstick formulas in my collection.
I do like that it comes with both a liner and the lipstick. However, I believe the price range is steep for what you're getting. It's eerily similar to ColourPop in formula, in which you can find a lip liner for $6 (US) and matte liquid lipsticks for $7 (US). That's $13 vs. the $29 US that Kylie's lip kits sell for (you can also buy the liner and lipstick separately) and with the same amount of product. Honestly, I believe a huge part of that is paying for the name. If it is a formula that you prefer over others or you're a huge fan and want something from Kylie's line, that may very well be worth it to you.

I use a lip balm underneath and I still find this formula to be drying on my lips. Lasting power is decent at 6-8 hours, doesn't feel heavy or sticky, and is mostly transfer-proof. I'm not a huge fan of how it wears down, because it gets very patchy. This shade, though. Kristen, you beautiful minx! I'm happy I got it for that reason alone, but the kit didn't win me over to try another one. I have matte liquid lipstick formulas in my collection that I happen to prefer more. Like Stila Stay All Day or Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink (absolute favorite and longest lasting!) or NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. I did mention ColourPop above, as well. I don't rank them as high on my list, but I'd say they are the closest to this specific formula.
