Burt's Bees Goodness Glows Liquid Makeup

I was sent a box of goodies to try from Burt's Bees. One of those items is the Burt's Bees Goodness Glows Liquid Makeup in the shade 1005 Porcelain. I was also sent the Nourishing Mascara, 2 Lip & Cheek Sticks from their All Aglow line, and a highlighter and bronzer stick also from their All Aglow line. I will have a post coming on the All Aglow sticks soon, though I am wearing everything below!

This post is solely on the Goodness Glows foundation. To see swatches and what I think, keep reading.

Burt's Bees were very generous in what they sent out. Some reviewers got a few of the liquid lipsticks to try instead of the All Aglow sticks! To see more on all of the products, check out the #notsynthetic hashtag on Instagram.

Before diving into the foundation, I just want to touch on a few tidbits. Burt's Bees does not test on animals and is free of parabens, petrolatum, phthalates, SLS, talc, and synthetic fragrances. As they themselves say, "no fillers, no fluff".

The positives? There are 18 shades available and this Porcelain one is nearly perfect for me. The pump is pretty great at not pumping out way too much at one time. The glass bottle is thick and feels durable. It actually already survived a drop out of my hands on a hard floor!

And well, that's the end of the positives for me. This does not work for my dry skin at all. I mean, AT ALL. It sits on top of any dry patch instantly and very visibly and just gets worse as it wears. I've had luck in the foundation department recently, so I guess it was time for it to run out. You can see how it sits in my picture below. It's the worst on my forehead and nose.

The Goodness Glows formula contains Meadowfoam Seed Oil which is supposed to have moisturizing properties, but I witness none of that. It's also supposed to be buildable in coverage and not be cakey. My results negate that, as it was cakey upon first contact. Perhaps this is a formula best made for oily skin types? If you've tried this and have oily skin, let me know how it worked for you! I wanted this to work because of the shade, but it just doesn't. Darn!
