October 31st, how did you get here so fast?! I've got my Halloween-tinged tunes playing in the background. Right now, I'm obsessed with Gerard Way's Baby, You're a Haunted House. It's so catchy. There's a slight mist outside and it just feels like the perfect Halloween so far. We're hoping to go out and see some house decorations tonight. There is one house nearby that goes all out every year. Then, it's back here to catch up on the Halloween episodes of some of our shows on the PVR. Low key and that's how I like it! How about you?
Below is this month's favorites, plus an adorable appetizer that I made for my husband's office Halloween shindig.
- Joe Fresh Beauty Rose Neutrals Palette - The purples in this palette are spot on.
- Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in Loyalist - If you need a lip formula to last all day, here's your answer! I swear by this on my longer days out.
- Buxom Lip Gloss in White Russian - And when I don't want Loyalist as the matte, I add this on top. They go together perfectly and it does not affect the longevity of the Matte Ink.
- Joe Fresh Beauty Highlight Stick in Pure Glow - A glow that looks natural if you want or ba-bam if you want. It is easy to build up and layer with other highlighters.
- Joe Fresh Beauty CC Powder - What I like about this is that it works with my dry skin and doesn't look powdery on the skin. It does a really great job at setting my current foundation (which also happens to be Joe Fresh) and evening out my skin tone.
Also, Happy Halloween! I recreated these spider cheese balls for my husband's office party. They were super easy to transport. This is the mama spider and I made a few little baby spiders to join her. Huge success! I used my own cheeseball recipe, but got the idea from Inspired by Charm. So fun! I hope you all have a wonderful Halloween full of more treats than tricks!
