This past week has had both Canada Day and Independence Day, so I've been a busy bee with celebrations. To all of my readers from either country (or both - like me!), I hope you had a wonderful holiday celebrating your country, your freedoms, and all of the unique things that make up where you live or where you were born!
It's that time again where I show off some of the things I have been loving in the past month. I love these types of posts, because I really am a creature of habit who finds something she likes and keeps using it until she's sick of it. If you have a favorites post up, let me know! Here's a few of my favorites from June. I'm still reaching for them, so you will probably see some repeats by the end of July. They are that good!
- Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in Loyalist - This formula, you guys. Holy moly, it lasts through everything!
- Essence Metal Shock Eyeshadow in Solar Explosion - Swatches and review are to come. At under $5, these are a steal. This one works easily with every look, but I especially love pairing it with the Urban Decay Naked palette.
- L'OCCITANE Aqua Reotier Ultra Thirst-Quenching Gel - Review is coming, so I don't want to spoil too much. With water and hyaluronic acid, this delivers on moisture.
- Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara - Everything good that you've heard about Essence mascaras, believe it. I didn't have the highest of hopes, but the formula is great. It's not clumpy and gives me a great deal of volume. I'm sold! Looking forward to trying others in the line.
- Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Bourbon - I have had this particular shade numerous times and I've liked it, but it was never my favorite to reach for. I guess something changed with me and my taste, because I'm looking at it with renewed interest. That might also have something to do with how well it pairs with the gold Metal Shock shadow looks. It has a bit of glimmer of its own that just really works with the shimmering gold!
