Star Wars Collection by Lip Smacker

With all of the new Star Wars movies that have been coming out and that are on the horizon, the series keeps picking up new fans along the way to the galaxy far away. I'm not as familiar with the older films, but I did enjoy Rogue One and The Force Awakens. I have not seen The Last Jedi or Solo yet, but we have plans to. We're really behind on our movies! I did read The Last Jedi spoilers and even as someone who does not consider herself a fan of the series, I did not like what I read. Since there was quite the uproar over the film, I know I am not alone in that thinking.

Here's how I like to put it. I married someone who seems to like the Stars - Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, etc. And I seem to be someone who does not usually partake in the Stars by choice, unless it was of the Search variety. That show was my jam in my early childhood! Showing my age? Probably. I humor my husband and sit through some of his "Star shows" and often end up liking them more than I thought I would. And I'm totally down with Princess Leia, Yoda, and Rey!

This new Star Wars collection by Lip Smacker released on May 4th (May the 4th be with you!), which I'd say is clever marketing at its best. I don't have the entire collection to show you, but I do have a few goodies to share. On a personal note, the Tsum Tsums always take the cake. They're too cute!

This is in what Lip Smacker calls their Mega size lip balm. This R2-D2 is in Bleep Bloop Blueberry, but the R2-D2 in the combo pack below is in Cool Berry Droid. So you get two different flavors depending on which size you're wanting. The Mega size gives you four times the amount of the original tube. You can also get Han Solo, Chewbacca, Storm Trooper, Darth Vader, and C3PO in the Mega size, all of which are different flavors than the set below. So heads up to the collectors! Han Solo is Apple Smuggler, Chewbacca is Caramel Chewie, Storm Trooper is Imperial White Chocolate, Darth Vader is Dark Side Espresso, and C3PO is in Golden Pineapple.

In the Party Pack, you get: Dark Side Cherry, Galactic Marshmallow, Golden Caramel Droid, Cool Berry Droid, Jedi Mint Trick, Rebel Chocolate, Blasting Fruit Punch, and Wookie Cookie Warrior. I believe my Chewie being upside down was just a mistake in packaging. I always love the cherry-based Lip Smacker flavors, so I'm happy about Dark Side Cherry. Interested in a random fact? During filming, the actors behind C3PO and R2-D2 did not like each other, but managed to film together fine since they were in droid form. I'm sure those of you that are huge fans already knew that, but I always find it fascinating that sometimes those with the worst relationships off camera have the best chemistry in front of it!

And then there are the Tsum Tsum balms! I got Princess Leia and Storm Trooper. Princess Leia comes in the flavor Cinnamon Buns and I think that is the top notch of flavor choices they could have given her. Cinnamon Buns...perfection! The Storm Trooper is in the flavor Ice Cream Clone. Okay, I'm in love with that name too. Too cute for words! Out of every flavor, it's Ice Cream Clone that is my favorite. It's such a light vanilla.

The Tsum Tsum Star Wars selection offers the two mentioned, R2-D2, Yoda, and Darth Vader. R2-D2 is in R2D Licious Blueberry, Yoda is in Jedi Master Mint, and Darth Vader is in Darth Chocolate. Again, all in different flavors from the other packs! Luckily, Lip Smacker is affordably priced if you can't live with just one. I have my eye on the Yoda, because it's Yoda. I mean, come on. And the Mega C3PO, mainly because he's pineapple and I don't think I've tried a pineapple balm yet!.

The thing I love about the Tsum Tsum option is that they stack on top of each other. So you can have a few, stack them up, and they won't take up any extra room. You just twist the bottom out and you have a little globe of balm waiting to use. I own five now with Winnie the Pooh, Marie from Aristocats, Donald Duck, Princess Leia, and Storm Trooper.

Have you seen these in stores? You can't go wrong with any of them, fan or not. If you're a super fan, I think these are a great addition to your collection. And they are priced low enough that you can get a backup to keep sealed and display. Are you a Star Wars fan? Will you be buying any of these? I think Lip Smacker has stood the test of time and keep bringing their A game. Case in point- I was applying the Dr. Pepper Lip Smacker while watching Star Search in my living room. And all of a sudden we've come full circle in this post.
