Are you looking for the perfect red lip or lip liner? These might be just what you are looking for. In this post, I'm talking about the Smoothed Over lipstick in Currant and the lip liner in Pomegranate. If you're in the group that thinks nothing beats a classic red lip, these should be right up your alley. And they will certainly add a pop to these dreary winter days!

This is a cool-toned red, but I don't think that makes too much of a difference since you'll more than likely be layering it with lipstick. This might just top NYX's Plush Red as my go-to red liner. It goes on opaque and has pretty decent lasting power with minimal staining. I don't know if they changed the formula a bit, but this one felt sturdier than my Berry one. I do love that it twists up. The lip liners retail for $24 US / $28 CA.
Smoothed Over Lipstick in Currant
The Smoothed Over formula is among my favorites. They go on smooth and opaque and I love the fruity smell. Currant is also a cool-toned red and pairs nicely with the Pomegranate pencil. This is easily opaque enough to wear on its own, but pairing it with Pomegranate does make it more vibrantly red. If red is not your thing, I would suggest Willow. It's a gorgeous nude with mauve undertones. The lipsticks retail for $28 US / $34 CA. At the time of this post, Currant is "currantly" on sale (haha!) for $22.40 US / $27.20 CA.
