Makeup by One Direction: Up All Night Collection

Confession time- I am not a One Direction fan. I don't hate them, but I don't go out of my way to listen to them. Though I do really love Story of My Life. I can understand why they have such a huge fan base, I mean I grew up a major NKOTB and *NSYNC fan (still am!). I received this One Direction makeup kit to review and I think that both fans and non-fans (totally a word) alike can enjoy. There are three sets in all and the one I have is the Up All Night Collection! Be prepared for lots of pictures, as there are a lot of items to show.

Taken lipgloss - glitter pink gloss that glows orange under UV lights
Eyeshadow quad +1 - includes four eyeshadows and a glitter creme
I Should Have Kissed You lipstick - bubblegum pink lip creme
Little Black Dress mascara - volumizing mascara in black

 Clockwise from top left: More Than This, Save You Tonight, Gotta Be You, and Another World. Up All Night is the blue glitter creme in the middle. I do not usually use blue eyeshadow and I never use glitter anymore, but these would be fun for a party or concert. The neutral colors are nice. I do wish these were a bit more pigmented, but they are smooth. Quite a bit of fallout while swatching.

 I haven't tried the mascara yet. The brush looks basic and the formula seems to be on the dry side. I love the packaging!

 The crème de la crème of the collection for me! The I Should Have Kissed You lipstick and Taken lipgloss are both so pigmented and vibrant. Total winners! I Should Have Kissed You is a little dry and does not go on smoothly. I would suggest applying it over lip balm for smooth sailing. Taken has a strange applicator, a bit flimsy. It disperses quite a lot of product, but it works decently enough.

The body and eye crayon is very similar to NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils. I found it a bit too chubby for the stencils to get crisp lines. And the stencils were a bit hard to do on my own because it wouldn't stay flat enough. I had to tape it down. Not too big a deal depending where you are using them or if you have a friend with you.

Out of my collection, the closest dupe for the polish is Sephora by OPI's Mermaid to Order, which has been discontinued. Na Na Na became opaque after three coats. It is a really pretty blue and went on without any hiccups.
