Maybe you recall my first post in this series, which was about the grandpa cardigan brought on by Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa. Well now, I'm back with a little bit of 70's meets 80's style brought on by Anchorman 2. One of my favorite 70's trends was the bow blouse. I drew inspiration from that and Christina Applegate's character, Veronica Corningstone.
Because the movie is the meeting of both decades and in a work setting, I went for a more professional look. I think Veronica would approve and I hope you like it too! I had my camera set up and ready to take pictures on my balcony for this look and my door was completely frozen shut. That's winter in Canada for you! So iPhone pictures will have to suffice.
Blouse, cardigan, and skirt are all Old Navy. The shoes are American Eagle from Payless. The paisley print of the blouse and platform wedges are also a throwback to that time period.
Anchorman 2 comes out in theatres on December 18th! Will you be seeing it?
With the 70's behind him, San Diego's top rated newsman, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), returns to the news desk in "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues." Also back for more are Ron’s co-anchor and wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), weather man Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), man on the street Brian Fontana (Paul Rudd) and sports guy Champ Kind (David Koechner) - All of whom won’t make it easy to stay classy…while taking the nation’s first 24-hour news channel by storm.
