Happy Thanksgiving!

Today is the American Thanksgiving, so I'm taking today and tomorrow off from blogging to enjoy the holiday (I'll be back next week to share my Christmas wishlist and gift guide)! I may be in Canada now, but I don't stop celebrating...I just enjoy extra holidays! You're not going to hear me complain about having two Thanksgivings each year. :)

We already had our Thanksgiving here in October and we had a big ham dinner. Today also happens to be my MIL's birthday, so I'm having the in-laws over for a big batch of chili! A bit untraditional but with snow on the ground outside and football on the TV, I think it fits the bill perfectly. I also thought I'd share a few things I'm thankful for in no particular order!

thankful for
  • my husband and our marriage. It's not perfect by any means, but it's just right.
  • having a roof over our head. The upcoming move has me grateful for what we have.
  • friends and family. Obviously goes without saying, really.
  • warm blankets. Nothing better on a winter's night.
  • light snow showers. The ones where it looks like a giant snow globe.
  • cozy cardigans. Layering is the best part of fashion, if you ask me!
  • red cups. Starbucks' Christmas drinks are an addiction.
  • baby animals. Because no matter how bad your day is, looking at baby animals can make it all better! You know it's true!
  • my faith. Sometimes it is the only thing that gets me through.
  • you guys. You choose to read my blog and get to know me. I'm very thankful for each of you and am so happy to have gotten to know you. All of you that follow me around on social media and this blog, I consider you friends! The blogging community and readers are so dear to me!
Happy Thanksgiving and also Happy Hanukkah to those that celebrate! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Lucky you to have 2 Thanksgivings ;)
So agree with your list. We all have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for your friendship!

Sometimes we celebrate both Canadian and American Thanksgiving too - like we did this year, with good friends and far too much food. Its wonderful to celebrate twice. I think it will be the start of a year where I am twice as thankful.
