A friend on Instagram let me know about this challenge that was started called No Jeans June. It's to get you out of the habit of covering your legs with pants and getting comfortable in your own skin. I love dresses and rompers, but I more often than not resort to jeans and jeggings. This has been a fun and yet daunting challenge for me!
Here's a few of my recent outfits that I shared on Instagram. I'll share another outfit post before the month is over!
^ Dress: Old Navy. Cardigan: Alloy. Necklace: Tiffany & Co. Nails: China Glaze's For Audrey. And my treat was a low fat Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappucino from Starbucks. I call this look Understated Neon. I don't think I pull off neon very well with my pale skin, but I found that the gray on the dress neutralized it.
^ Dress and cardigan: Old Navy. Monogram necklace: Elizabeth Edmonds (via Limoges Jewelry). Shoes: Target. My treat for that day was a butter caramel iced cappucino from Tim Hortons that I reluctantly shared with my husband. If you're not near a Tim Hortons, you are missing out on pure deliciousness.
^ Dress: Target. Cardigan: Old Navy. My first ever maxi dress! I'm 5'9" and I find it really hard to find one that are the right length. I was happy to find this one at Target. The tie in the front also allows it to be worn as a halter top, but I like it strapless better.
^ Shirt: Old Navy. Shorts: Torrid. This challenge has me getting a little more creative and stepping a bit out of my comfort zone, which is the whole point of it. I've seen others do this type of mix, but I never thought I could pull it off. So I just did. No more second-guessing. :)
Have you done a challenge like this before? Are you good at stepping out of your comfort zone fashion-wise?
