We just went to Buffalo, NY this past Friday to see Martina McBride and George Strait. I do not listen to too much country music these days, but I still have my favorites as most southerners do! I have now seen my two favorites since childhood- George Strait and Reba McEntire. I am so happy to finally say that! I have wanted to see George since I was a toddler.
I'll admit that I broke down a few times while seeing him, as it was surreal and I could not stop thinking about how happy my grandmother would be for me. I wish I was making this next part up, but my grandma was a crazy old lady who loved me more than anything...so much so that she even sent an invite to my wedding to George! But oh what I would not do for one of her crazy schemes again!
This was just an overnight trip, but I knew I had to fit in three of my favorite places. Cheesecake Factory, Target, and Walden Galleria (the mall). Usually I go to the outlets in Niagara also, but I was on a budget and there is no way I could go to those stores and stay on the budget. I know my weaknesses! :) Here is my haul from Target and Walden!
To see more pictures, please keep reading.
^ My favorite cowboy, George Strait. To keep with the country theme of the trip, I also picked up Us Weekly's Women of Country special magazine.
^ The clothes I picked up. The only difference is that my gray lace shirt is short sleeved with lace all over it. It was near impossible to get a decent shot of. You can see it in the above picture. Both the lace shirt and black blazer are from Target. I had a $10 gift card for Old Navy and found this dress on clearance for I think $15. I already own the black one and these fit fabulously!
^ I had to stop in at Sephora and grab the Theodora palette! My swatches are coming soon!
^ I love finally having a blu-ray player. I loved Hotel Transylvania and I still need to see Frankenweenie, as I've only seen the original short. When it comes to animated movies, I will forever be a kid. I don't care if I get to be eighty years old and the oldest person in the cinema to watch them! ;)
^ Target has some great accessories right now. It was hard to walk away with just one item. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up a necklace...but my budget prevailed! I thought this would look good paired with my Pandora bracelet and I don't own anything similar.
^ I can't remember which magazine I was reading where the beauty editor mentioned this mask being great for dry skin, but it stuck with me so I put it in the cart when I saw it. And I needed a new loofah. I hadn't seen one like this before where it is 2-in-1 (cleanses and exfoliates). Yes, please!
^ For H&M, I had a $20 gift card and this bag was around $25. Score! It's a perfect crossbody bag with removable straps to use it as a satchel. I plan on using this for concerts and sporting events, because I hate putting my purse on the floor.
So ends my little haul. I'm really excited about my purchases! The rest of the budget went towards drinks and snacks that I cannot find easily up here. So happy to be stocked up on cherry soda, Pirate's Booty popcorn, and Nutter Butters again! It was such a great getaway. Sometimes you just need to get away for even just a night to feel rejuvenated!
