I'm back! I had a great time at home and seeing a lot of friends and family. It was a very short trip, so I couldn't see and do as much as I'd love to, but we still had loads of fun. Good food, good friends, good times! I got lots of new things to show/swatch/review and will get on that in the next few posts coming up.
I thought I'd share two outfits from my vacation. The first one shows what I chose to wear for my 10 year high school reunion and the second shows what I typically wear to travel long distances. After all, it takes 14 hours for me to get from Toronto to my home in South Carolina! So that's 28 hours of just traveling back and forth. Whew!
^ We were told the dress would be cocktail attire. I chose a black pencil skirt (Old Navy), heart print chiffon top (Old Navy), and a silver clutch which came with a set of Sonia Kashuk brushes during the holiday season last year! My shoes were just a pair of black wedge heels from American Eagle. You can dress up and look stylish while staying on a budget!
^ This was the second day of traveling back. We split the 14 hour drive into two days. This day took us through Pennsylvania, New York, and back into Toronto. I still like to look put together since we stop to shop and eat along the way. I chose jeans (Paris Blues via Alloy), green tank (Old Navy), blue tank (Target), white cardigan (Old Navy), purse (H&M), and Havaianas flip-flops. I love to dress in layers and I choose jeans that have a bit of stretch to keep the comfort level high rather it be traveling on a plane, train, or in a car.
^ The drive is gorgeous! I love being a passenger, because I get to look at views like this. I may live in a big city now, but you can't take the country out of this girl. I like to think that I get the best of both worlds and I am blessed to call both areas home! :)
