Have you tried Seche Vite before? If not, you are missing out. It's a great top coat! It's not my absolute favorite, but it's ranked in my top three. So I had high hopes for Seche Vive, an instant gel effect top coat! As someone who is rough on their nails, I couldn't wait to put this to the test. Keep reading to find out what I think of Seche Vive!
When Nail Polish Canada asked if I would like to try Seche Vive, I was already impatient to receive the bottle before even saying "yes, please!". Let me tell you why! It promises to work with any polish, offer high shine, and a gel-like finish all without a use of one of the lamps (which let's face it, I'm way too lazy to bother with).
So did it live up to those claims for me? Yes! I am a person who loves shiny finishes and this creates such a beautiful shine. It has worked on my Essie, Barry M, OPI, etc. polishes with no issues and still produces the same finish each time. The best part is how hard it is to chip. I mentioned I'm someone who is rough on my nails and I typically see chipping after a day or two. The picture below is after five days. Now that's a winner for me!
Other than that, I love how fast it dries which isn't any different from the Seche Vite version. I also mentioned that Seche Vite is in my top 3 top coats and Seche Vive might just dethrone my current favorite (Essie's Good to Go, by the way). It's worth noting that it is as easy to remove as any other polish with polish remover. The smell is a little strong, but it vanishes the minute it is on the nail.
You can purchase Seche Vive wherever Seche products are sold and also on Nail Polish Canada.
