Sephora's 2017 Birthday Gift: Tarte

This year, Sephora offers three different birthday sets for its Beauty Insiders program. They have the Tarte set that I am showing in this post, a Caudalie set, and a Jack Black set (online only). I almost chose the Caudalie set, but I already have a tube of Vinosource.

I'm aware that it is August, but I'm sure there are quite a few of you out there who still have an upcoming birthday to celebrate! I would have had this earlier to review, but my local Sephora did not want to give me the set. I contacted Sephora's customer service and they put it in the mail for me right away. Not too happy with my local Sephora for that, but Sephora's main customer service was great. So I'll take that as a win!

I love a lot of things by Tarte, especially the Amazonian Clay blushes which I have featured quite a bit on here. So I had a feeling this set wouldn't let me down. I had yet to try their Tarteist Lip Paints, but I just may very well be hooked now. I think I made the right choice in choosing this set.

The Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush is in the shade Paaarty. It's a beautiful dusty pink. It's easily buildable, but it's a great shade for my fair skin. I know I'll be reaching for it a lot and it is a good thing these blushes last a long time.

The Tarteist Lip Paint is in the shade called Birthday Suit. This is such a perfect pinky nude. I think my favorite part is that it doesn't dry down darker like my problem with most of ColourPop's Ultra Matte Lips shades. The sample is so tiny though, so I'm going to have to save this for special days because I don't want to use it all up right away. I honestly think that will be a sad day.

I think these two might be my new favorites from Tarte and that's saying a lot. Needless to say, I think this was a great birthday gift from Sephora.
