Lip Smackers will always have a special place in my heart. Always! If you're like me, it's the first brand that you were allowed to use growing up. And the Dr. Pepper one will always be the best. Well, the brand has not gone anywhere and honestly? They just keep getting better! Have you seen their Disney Tsum Tsum line?! Now, they have released two new lines consisting of five each - the frappes and sodas. I promise you this packaging will pull you in and not let go and you'll want one of these in your purse, on your vanity, in your car, etc.
Here are the ten flavors and my thoughts!
- Vanilla Chai Frappe - Not my favorite drink in real life, so I'm not surprised I'm not a big fan of this. It smells like the real deal, I just don't like chai. If you do, you'll love this!
- Pumpkin Spice Frappe - Yes yes yes! If you're a "give me pumpkin anything" person like me, you need this. Maybe wait until the fall and winter, because that's when pumpkin smells are the best. Given fact.
- Cinnamon Churro Frappe - I'm not even a big cinnamon fan, but this is good. It's not over-the-top. I actually smell stronger notes of coffee over the cinnamon.
- Caramel Frappe - If your regular drink at Starbucks is a Caramel Macchiato like mine is, this will hit home with you. I smell it and all of a sudden I need a coffee fix. This is dangerous for my wallet, Lip Smacker.
- Mocha Chip Frappe - I smell the chocolate, but I want to say there is a slight minty tinge to it. I don't hate it, but I am not usually attracted to chocolate smells in lip products. I will say it does not smell as fake as others that I have smelled.
- Grape Fanta - I love grape soda. I was always a Nehi girl (especially grape or peach), shoutout if you remember Nehi sodas. They're near impossible to get now. This smells just like grape soda and a little like Dimetapp medicine. That sounds weird, but it works.
- Barq's Root Beer - I hate root beer. With a passion. But darn if this doesn't smell identical to the drink! If you love root beer, this is for you. I can't get over how identical the smell is.
- Orange Fanta - This is close. You know how soda changes its smell slightly as it goes flat, that is what this smells like. Like a flatter orange soda. It's not horrible, but it's not as orange as you think it would be.
- Cherry Coca-Cola - Cherry Coke. Cherry Pepsi. Cherry soda of any kind, get in my belly. It is so hard to find cherry anything here in Canada and it drives me crazy! And this little balm nails the cherry coke scent on the head. Dare I say that I already rank it up there with Dr. Pepper? I think I do!
- Coca-Cola - And finally, there is the tried and true Coca-Cola. It's pretty darn close to the smell and may be closer than I recall. It's hard for me to judge because I usually go for Diet Coke or Coke Zero. It's good, but the Cherry one is better in my extremely biased opinion.
I had a problem with the one above where the top part came off right after taking it out of the packaging. I have not had luck reattaching it, so I'll probably have to use a little glue around the edges or just set it upright on my vanity. I doubt this is a widespread problem and I had no issues with the other ones, but I thought I would mention it.
If you are thinking of getting any of these, which ones are you interested in? My top choices are Caramel and Pumpkin Spice from the frappes and Cherry Coke and Grape Fanta from the sodas. You can purchase these at Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada and anywhere else that Lip Smacker products are sold.
Random Note: It's a holiday weekend here and my husband's birthday next week. So I'm taking a small hiatus until next Thursday or Friday. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and week ahead!
**These were provided to me for testing and reviewing purposes. But look at them, there's no way that one or two wouldn't enter my shopping cart anyway! :)
