Coppertone Clearly Sheer Face

It is a double holiday weekend for me, as I celebrate both Canada Day and Independence Day. Double the holidays, double the fun and sun! I'm kicking off my weekend with a cookout tomorrow, which is Canada Day. And since I am going to be outside for most of tomorrow, it is a good time to talk about this new sunscreen. As a pale girl who burns easily and looks like a red lobster at least once in a while from forgetting to wear my sunscreen, I know just how important it is!

Coppertone has released a new line of sunscreens called Clearly Sheer. The new line consists of three different products: a body lotion, body spray, and a face lotion. Each product has an SPF of 30 and UVA/UVB protection. They are suitable for sensitive skin and formulated to not cause breakouts. Read on for my own thoughts!

It does not really make a difference to some, but I really like the shape of the bottle. It fits right in the hand, allowing your middle finger and thumb to cradle it easily. I hate when a bottle is awkward to hold and use! The Clearly Sheer does have a pump and I found it pretty easy to dispense enough product without getting too much. It claims the scent is fresh and light and I would agree, but it still smells like sunscreen. It's not in your face the whole time you are wearing it and not as potent as other sunscreens in the past, but it still slightly lingers.

SPF 30 is a good starting point for me, but I had rather it be SPF 50 for my face. It looks like you have a choice in the US, but not here. I always state that I have sensitive skin, but I had no redness or reaction to the formula. I also have sensitivities to certain scents, but this did not bother me. So that's a win-win!

The instructions are to shake it and apply it fifteen minutes before sun exposure. That's pretty good! I remember being a kid and being stuck waiting half an hour before I was allowed to go out to the lake or beach. It always felt like an eternity! And it lasts for 80 minutes of sweating and swimming. As for the sheer part, it goes on sheer and dries matte. You can easily wear this under makeup.

After all of that, I also like that it is small. It will fit in most purses and bags and take up very little room. You have no excuse to not be protecting your skin and this sunscreen makes it easy for you!
