Toronto has an end-of-summer fair that we call the CNE or the Ex, which is short for the Canadian National Exhibition. We went this past Sunday, because I wanted to see The Beach Boys again. They were so good last summer that I could not pass up the chance! Anyway, here are some pictures and video from our day. And also, there is a post on my photography blog showing more pictures from the garden show! Link will be below. :)
^ Every year there is a sand sculpture contest. You know what I can do with sand? Get it in my shoe...every single time. On the right are rock towers. This guy is also there every year and it never fails to amaze me. You know what I can do with rocks? Trip over them...every single time. Haha!
^ Part of the garden show. You can see more pretty flowers on my photography blog, Dreamy Daze Photography. Just click here!
^ The Flying Wallendas. You've probably heard of them or at least of one of their family members, Nik. He's the one that crossed Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon recently on a high wire.
^ Fair food at its best- a bloomin' onion!
^ For lunch, I had a chicken shawarma and Cherry Coke. I love that they have those machines where you get to choose between a bunch of cola flavors this year. We can't get Cherry Coke here in stores, for whatever ridiculous reason. So my finger went straight for that button!
^ Bob Blumer from the Food Network. He's the one that does Glutton for Punishment and World's Weirdest Restaurants. Love him! My husband thinks he looks like Mr. Schue from Glee. I didn't see it at first, but now I kind of do.
^ Beach Boys! They were better last year, but that was when they were all on tour. This time was just Mike and Bruce. Still good, but just not the same flair.
^ The only thing I bought this year. They had cases for 3/$25. Being a phone case addict, I couldn't say no! And come on, Minions and a panda? I had to!
Hope you enjoyed seeing some of my day at the Ex!
