NYX Lip Pencils in Plush Red and Mauve

Today I am sharing photos and swatches of NYX's lip pencils in Plush Red and Mauve. I could not find the long lip pencils on their website like these, but they do offer these shades in the smaller size.

 

Plush Red has cool undertones, so I think it would work well on all of us that have cool skin tones. Mauve comes across as a bit on the brown side on me. I do not get a mauve vibe when I look at it, because I do not see a hint of purple at all. I find this shade personally works best in the colder months when I like darker lips.

They are easy to blend and I do not find that they bleed on my lips. To ease the blending along, I apply a lip balm first. NYX lip liners are inexpensive and can usually be found for under $4. Worth it? Absolutely!

P.S.- I'm wearing the Plush Red shade tonight to the Shinedown/Kiss concert! I have that concert tonight and the NKOTB/98 Degrees/Boyz II Men concert on Sunday. Such an exciting weekend ahead! I'll share pictures from both shows next week. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
