Breaking My Back Just to Know Your Name

We all have at least one. A favorite band. I have quite a few, because music gets me through everything. I listen to music when I'm happy, sad, mad, whatever. It has gotten me through some tough times and it's gotten me through some great times, always providing me with memories. And sometimes a certain band just keeps making music that makes you want to dance, think, or just get lost in the lyrics.

At the top of my list of favorite bands is The Killers. I saw them for the fifth time last night here in Toronto and they never disappoint. As a matter of fact they just get better each time! The only thing that could have made it better is if the guy beside me understood the meaning of personal space and the fact that you don't have to stand for every song and flail your arms wildly when you're in the 300s. I always get stuck near the "crazies". ;)

Their music is so original and Brandon Flowers is so incredibly talented. If The Killers are not your type of music, try his solo album because it is fantastic!

I am slightly obsessed with them, I must admit. Have you seen your favorite band yet? How many times? I wish I could see my favorites every time they are performing nearby, but rising ticket prices have caused me to lower the number of concerts I attend. Now I aim for one or two a year and I have to be picky. It's unfortunate, but it has made me much more appreciative when I'm there and of who I get the chance to see!
